15 Reasons Why Les Savy Fav Is Still Brooklyn’s Best Live Band

When Tim Harrington decides he’s going to shotgun a hastily crushed Heinkeken down your gullet, you listen. It doesn’t matter if the beer’s about to spill everywhere; you just open your mouth wide and let it flow.

This is why we make sure to see Les Savy Fav at least once a year—because the balls-to-the-wall teddy bear above is a consummate showman and the band itself puts on an actual show, hacking at their post-punk hooks while Harrington plays with his 99-cent props, changes his sequined costumes and makes sure anyone who remembers how to have fun actually has some.

Here’s some photographic evidence from the final night of this year’s House of Vans series to show you what we mean…
