Brian Eno Shares an Ambient Selection From His Music For Installations Box Set

Listen

“If you think of music as a moving, changing form,” explains Brian Eno, “and painting as a still form, what I’m trying to do is make very still music and paintings that move. I’m trying to find in both of those forms, the space in between the traditional concept of music and the traditional concept of painting.”

Case in point: the sprawling Music For Installations box set we recently announced, which features rare and several previously unreleased selections from Eno’s more experimental archives. Lean into one of the latter below, a piece that was produced for Asif Khan’s We Are Energy installation at the Astana Expo last year. Look out for the rest of Music For Installations on UMC May 4th….
