Ishmael Ensemble Makes Us a Strictly Vinyl Mix of Music That’ll Move You

From Kongas to Khruangbin
Ishmael Ensemble
Words + Mix PETE CUNNINGHAM

Often when asked to record a mix, I struggle to get out of my cosy studio and slippers state of mind and end up recording an hour of music to snooze to. I thought I'd break the mold with this one and mix some of the records I've enjoyed playing at gigs this summer. I've tried to demonstrate what you may hear when I'm playing out, hopefully keeping you on your toes and offering a wide selection of moods and grooves to get down to!

Recorded at home—100-percent vinyl....
