Dean Blunt Keeps the Joanne Robertson Collabs Coming

While there’s still no word of when Dean Blunt will be releasing Joanne Robertson’s next record through his new World Music imprint, the Hype Williams co-founder has leaked four new collaborations with Robertson over the past month. They cover quite a bit of ground sonically, too, from the sombre, synth-glazed “DEF Freestyle” to the spare confessional stylings of “X,” which appears to be a proper solo track with Blunt merely producing.

As for whether Hype Williams are gone for good, Blunt recently told the Guardian “I don’t really see things as solo or not. Circumstances make certain things come to the front more. Circumstances out of my control, sometimes. The only work I do is to not be destructive as a result of these circumstances, and channel them into something else.”
