Matthew Dear‘s new Black City LP is the very definition of an album, 10 sneaky, scene-skirting tracks that actually get better with time. Except for its lead-off single, “Little People (Black City).” That one sounded stunning the second we heard it, since it stretches several massive techno-pop movements over 9 truly-essential minutes.
