Who needs Jane’s Addiction and [insert buzz band name here] when you’ve got Belgium’s the Glimmers for an intimate show at Brooklyn’s revamped Studio B? With one-third of self-titled in Austin Twittering about Metallica’s performance at Stubbs, the rest of us got dance-floor silly. Benjamin Roeder and James F!@#$%^ Friedman opened up the evening. Cubic Zirconia, performing live, told everyone to “Fuck Work.” Liv Spencer dropped some treasure-trove house gems. And the Glimmers took the stage around 2, helping us all stop caring about missing the GZA’s WTF performance with the Black Lips in Texas. Check out photos and video after the jump.

[James F!@#$%^ Friedman spun some f!@#$%^ records.]

[Cubic Zirconia is sort of like Kudu 2.0—noisier and much more lively.]

["Rushing to Paradise"—Liv Spencer's House of House track with Saheer Umar—sounded pristine and beautiful. Listen here.]

[Can you believe the Glimmers have been working together for more than 20 years? Crazy!]
