1MM: Man Man Brings Rubber Snakes, Exploding Feathers and Avant Circus Act to East River Park

In case you plan on attending any of this summer’s remaining East River Park shows, know this: the main bandshell is not along the water in Brooklyn, ala JellyNYC’s Pool Party series. It’s at least a 15-minute walk from the closest subway stop (the F train at Delancey and Essex). Which is all right with us; self-titled’s typical work day involves sitting in front of a computer for 12 hours at a time, so we appreciated the exercise and yet another one of Man Man’s splendid summer carnival sets. While this one wasn’t as ridiculously packed as their Pool Party appearance a few years back, it did reel in a number of the band’s hardcore fans, most of which appear to be under the age of 16.
