The Reason(s) We Can’t Stop Listening: Klimek’s ambient cuts have always been cinematic in scope, but this album takes a literal approach to that aesthetic, bringing a futurist bent to decades of film music. It’s also inspired by the only philosopher we remotely understood in college, the pop culture-cribbing Slavoj Zizek. An essay explains the connection in the liner notes, but if you want to just sit back and let this LP wash over you, that’s okay, too, since the entire thing is set to stun.
