Watch Thurston Moore Interview Beck and Mike D

When Pitchfork reported on Beck’s producer role in Thurston Moore’s new solo album yesterday, they vaguely added that the alt-rock icons “are old buddies who have teamed up for occasional projects in the past.” Projects like Moore’s 120 Minutes stint, where he invited Beck right on the cusp of his “Loser” breakthrough and invited Mike D over for an impromptu jam?

Priceless doesn’t even begin to describe the following three videos, or what it’s like to “surf through some oil spillage” back when Beck was painfully hip…

Throbbing Gristle’s Chris Carter has finally completed the remastering process for Chris & Cosey classic string of ’80s records, Trance, Songs of Love & Lust, Exotika and our personal favorite, Heartbeat. Each album is pressed on varying shades of colored vinyl, in a “a specially ‘remastered’ sleeve which also includes a 12″ B/W double-sided insert of archive photos, clippings and texts.”

Snag the first two reissues without getting gouged by import prices here, with the others on the way very soon. And here’s a brisk video rundown of all four records…
