Opal Tapes have shared the first official taste of Patricia’s return to the label after a welcome detour on Spectral Sound and several side projects (Inhalants, Masks, Black Mold). Available below and hitting shops soon as part of the Bem Inventory LP, “Mercury In Retrograde” rubs some rough drum parts up against a warm synth melody that reminds us of when Orbital and Autechre landed on the Pi soundtrack. Lovely stuff.
