Protomartyr have unveiled the A-side of a new 7” split with R. Ring. While its limited Hardly Art pressing isn’t due out until June 16th, the digital version drops today, featuring The Breeders’ Kelley Deal on backup vocals—cutting through the chaos like a laser canon—and the same fiery spirit that set last year’s Under Color of Official Right LP ablaze.

“It was a great thing to work on,” says Deal’s R. Ring bandmate Mike Montgomery, who recorded the song at his Cincinnati studio. “The band came down for a snowy weekend and they and Kelley cobbled, hashed and bashed it into existence. I’m stoked on how well Joe and Kelley’s voices work together: he a burning prophet and she a windy melody.”
