If you’re like us and try to keep close tabs on all the synth-laced reissues Medical Records and Minimal Wave releases on a regular basis, you need to also check out the chilly environs of Mannequin. The Italian imprint just unveiled two very different LPs: a Led Er Est-like collection from L.A.S.’s Crimes, and the long-lost solo debut of Sam Rosenthal. He happens to be the founder of Projekt Records and the frontman of Black Tape For a Blue Girl, but don’t worry–you don’t have to be a fishnet-wearing dark-wave fan to appreciate Rosenthal’s steely beats and lush synth lines.
