Tim Hecker has shared some of the details behind his first record for 4AD, Love Streams. Due out April 8th, it reportedly explores “liturgical aesthestics after Yeezus” and the “transcendental voice in the age of Auto-Tune.” Kinda like the producer’s last album (2013’s Virgins), cast in “more melancholic, ultraviolet hues” alongside returning collaborators Kara-Lis Coverdale and Grímur Helgason. Composer Jóhann Jóhannsson also helped with vocal arrangements for the Icelandic Choir Ensemble, which added another level of ambient noise to a heavily treated palette of studio-tracked keyboards, choir and woodwinds.
