Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti have revealed their first Carter Tutti single in more than 20 years. Due out May 20th through the duo’s own CTI imprint, “Coolicon” is a double A-side green vinyl 10” (also available via iTunes) named after the manufacturer of a metal lampshade Delia Derbyshire ‘sampled’ during the ’60s at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. According to a press release, “Carter Tutti have their own lampshade and Cosey’s use of its distinctive sound can be heard to great effect on both recordings.”

Check out a free edit of the subterranean track below, along with an A/V version and the pair’s last single. Chris & Cosey will also perform their post-Throbbing Gristle material at Heaven on May 19th. The rare London date will also feature the frizzled power electronics of Mika Vainio and the elusive experimental techno of Powell.
