LONG PLAYER OF THE DAY: Peter Broderick & Machinefabriek, Blank Grey Canvas Sky (Fang Bomb)

The Reason(s) We Can’t Stop Listening: If you read Wire magazine on a regular basis, this one’s a no-brainer, a can’t-miss collaboration between two of today’s leading experimental artists. So it’s boring then, right? Not at all. This one’s set to stun, from the sweeping micro-symphonies of “Planes” to the subtle piano progressions and speaker-poking ambient noise of “Blank Grey.” HIGHLY recommended.

RIYL: Transistor radios; nature films; Valium-assisted plane rides
