RADIO WHO?: Girl Talk Releases New ‘Pay What You Want’ Record

GIRL TALK: He has risen

Girl Talk‘s new album, Feed the Animals, is now available as a “pay what you want” download at IllegalArt.net. A physical CD won’t be available until September 23, so this is your only way to hear Gregg Gillis’ latest disasterpiece–this one crams 300 samples in 50 minutes–before the fall. (Wham City Records is also pressing a vinyl version.)

Before you rush on over to the site and pay one shiny penny for two years of road-tripping and ever-evolving sets, here are your options:

  1. Pay nothing and get the entire album compressed into high-quality MP3s.
  2. Pay $5 or more and you’ll also get the album as one continuous mix, “which is how Gillis intended for people to listen.”
  3. Pay $10 or more and all of the above will be yours along with a CD in September.

So what’s it gonna be kids? Are mash-ups and memory-tapping samples worth more than a new Radiohead record? We’ll reserve our judgment until we hear the following tracks …

Feed the Animals:

1. Play Your Part (Pt. 1)
2. Shut The Club Down
3. Still Here
4. What It’s All About
5. Set It Off
6. No Pause
7. Like This
8. Give Me A Beat
9. Hands In The Air
10. In Step
11. Let Me See You
12. Here’s The Thing
13. Don’t Stop
14. Play Your Part (Pt. 2)
