Smokescreens Go the Godard Route With “Waiting For Summer” Video

Taken from their Slumberland debut
If you want to get technical, summer's already here, but that didn't stop Smokescreens from writing a song about our latent collective desire for warmer days in the dogged depth of winter. It's one of many wonderful ear worms from the LA band's looming Used to Yesterday LP, which hits shops on July 13th through Slumberland Records. Check out another selection from it below, along with some tour dates.

The Flying Nun fans also had this to say about the above video:
This was filmed on a very cold day in Los Angeles in Skid Row. I remember we rushed to get as much footage as we could because we were playing a DIY club that same night. The director is a really young guy who's been filming bands in LA for a long time and I think he did a great job. I love the slow cuts, it's very Godard.
