Scion A/V continues its run of one-off releases this week with an EP from one of our favorite L.A. producers, Daedelus. While Looking Ocean won’t drop until tomorrow afternoon, we’re sharing its title track a day early. The nuclear-hued number sounds about as jittery as we feel after downing a pot of French-pressed coffee, setting Austin Peralta’s loose-limbed piano lines against Daedelus’ skittish drum loops. The former’s explored this sort of electro-shocked thing before–with his other Brainfeeder labelmates Flying Lotus and Thundercat–but those records never got quite as restless as this one.
