As hinted by their new single a little over a month ago, Iceage have revealed their third album. Due out October 7th through Matador, Plowing Into the Field of Love tosses bits of piano, mandolin, viola, organ and horns into some of the band’s tightest songs yet, making it clear they have made much more than just another brisk hardcore album this time around.
“I don’t feel that connected to previous Iceage records,” frontman Elias Rønnenfelt explained in an exclusive self-titled interview last week, conducted alongside his close friends in Lust For Youth and Lower. “One is a picture of me as an 18-year old. People can tap into that if they want, but I’m not interested in me as an 18-year old anymore. I’m somewhere else.
