LISTEN: Kendrick Lamar, “Backseat Freestyle”

Kendrick Lamar - 'good kid, m.A.A.d city'

So there’s some questionable lines in this Kendrick Lamar song, namely the chest-puffing chorus with the phallic Eiffel Tower nod. Maybe the 30-second clips from earlier today were the way to go in terms of revealing the rapper’s new record? Let’s hope not! Hit-Boy’s woofer-rattling beat is tight regardless, and Lamar does manage to get in some decent vocal jabs before the track’s over. good kid, m.A.A.d. city is out next Monday via Top Dawg/Aftermath.
