We had an iTunes moment this morning, one involving a timeless track suddenly appearing in shuffle mode. And what a track it was: New Order‘s “Ceremony,” quite possibly one of post-punk’s finest moments, a devastating mix of hope and helplessness.

To put the passage of time in perspective, self-titled‘s editor was three months old when people lined up to see this gig, and the pain of Ian Curtis’ suicide was still plastered across everyone’s faces.
