Shackleton Cancels U.S. Tour Dates After Visa Denial

A rare stateside run from Shackleton—including stops in Brooklyn and Detroit—has been canceled due to everyone’s favorite tour date deterrent: visa issues. In a statement, the producer wrote, “I can only express how disappointed I am on behalf of all the people who have made efforts on my behalf. Please be assured that Surefire Agency and myself have made every effort to make a successful application and that we are really disappointed not only for ourselves but also, and even more so, for the promoters who have planned events for me and for the people who had possibly been planning to attend the shows.”

Shackleton’s fellow Skull Disco founder Appleblim will step in for his New York date; a replacement has not been announced for Detroit, as Shackleton’s appearance would have been part of the city’s greater Movement Festival. Here’s the title track from his recent Freezing Opening Thawing EP…
