TEEN, “Not For Long”

TEEN have shared the lead single from their second album, a track that makes their move towards a cleaner, brighter pop sound abundantly clear. The Way and Color (due out April 22nd through Carpark Records) isn’t just another record with roots in the robust harmonies of ’90s-era R&B, though; as “Not For Long” shows, the quartet (now joined by bassist Boshra AlSaadi) takes their head-circling harmonies seriously, and keeps things interesting with dashes of left-field effects that’ll be duly noted on a proper set of speakers.

“We’re living in a really aggressive time, a not very thoughtful time,” says frontwoman Teeny Lieberson. “And when I finally listened to the album all the way through, I felt proud that we made something that made me feel uplifted. I hope this music will make people feel some happiness and joy.”
