And the recorded output of singer Peter Pisano and drummer Brian Moen would fit nicely alongside retro-rockers like M. Ward and My Morning Jacket, with a vintage sound that practically requires dusting. “Hard As Nails,” available for download below, opens with a stuttering programmed drumbeat and rusty guitar and comes from Crier’s debut release Inter-Be, due out on May 25.
