Tale of Us’ promise to “keep a balance between [the] dance floor and more experimental/leftfield stuff” with their Afterlife imprint hits an early high point with the new Vaal EP Wander to Hell. Due out tomorrow and rounded out by remixes from Locked Groove and Baikal, the 12” serves as a prime example of the singer/producer’s jazz background, pushing her vapor-trailed vocals through dollops of distortion and steam-pressed synths.
