Chastity Belt
“Time to Go Home”

Chastity Belt

The lead single from Chastity Belt’s Hardly Art debut starts off innocently enough—with a steady beat and strong lead vocals—but quickly picks up the pace as singer/guitarist Julia Shapiro assures us she “can’t see straight” and the night takes a turn for the worse.

“‘Time To Go Home’ is about treating boredom with substances,” the band explained over at the FADER. “It’s about having too much free time, feeling bored, getting a little drunk, wanting more, getting completely trashed, feeling euphoric, feeling sick, and finally having a sudden and urgent need to go home and go to bed.”

Understandable all around. Look out for the rest of Time To Go Home on March 24th…
