LONG PLAYER OF THE DAY: The Kills, Midnight Boom

While self-titled‘s  aware that Midnight Boom doesn’t  really need anymore positive press–everyone from EW to Nylon seems to have woken up with morning wood after hearing The Kills‘ third full-length–we quite frankly don’t care. Why? Because listening to dirty and (slightly) dangerous cuts like the one-two-three punch of “Cheap and Cheerful,” “Tape Song” and “Getting Down” has left us with a fresh laissez faire outlook on life–a carefree, who-gives-a-fuck-about-consequences-and-people’s-‘feelings’ approach to decisions, dates and everyday life. All we’ve got to say at this point in the afternoon is this: “You’re right, Alison ‘VV’ Mosshart. We want this guy, that girl, and everyone in between to be crazy because  you’re all boring when you’re straight.”

That is all. Now enjoy the mixed media after the jump …
