If there was ever any question as to who the real headliner was at Saturday night’s closing Atlanta Mess-Around show, it was answered a last minute audible: swapping The Gizmos out for Hank Wood & The Hammerheads in its closing slot. The move was well-deserved; the breakout NYC hardcore band riled an otherwise sedate crowd up to a pressure-cooked point, as if everyone had been saving their energy all night for one last gasp of losing one’s proverbial shit.
