When we last spoke to Maria Minerva, she promised a string of new releases this year, including collaborative records with LA Vampires and Ajukaja, and one-off sessions with the Pharaohs, Cities Aviv, Hervé and more. Now there’s this: the September 4th release of Will Happiness Find Me?, a freshly pressed album through Not Not Fun that “sees her synthesizing the dancier leanings of last November’s Sacred & Profane Love EP for 100% Silk and the avant-garde ground covered by the Cabaret Cixous double LP.”
The singer/producer also has a proper tour coming up this fall, including a must-see stop at MoMA’s PS1 Warm Up series that’s rounded out by Rustie, Holy Other, and an Atoms For Peace DJ set.
