Oasis Cancel ‘Intimate’ New York City Show

Thanks to this 47-year-old Canadian ‘fan’, Oasis won’t be making all of our “Champagne Supernova” dreams come true tomorrow night at Terminal 5. As he recently wrote on the band’s Web site, Noel Gallagher still feels like “I’ve had a sparring session with Ricky Hatton … can’t say much more than that the ‘perpetrator’ [is] gonna get the book thrown at him.”

Noel fell heavily on to his monitor speakers when he was pushed suddenly from behind by his attacker and suffered bruising to his ribs and hip. Unfortunately, he still has not recovered from his injuries and so he will not be able to perform tomorrow.

As a result of the incident on Oasis’ Canadian tour, when Noel was attacked by a stage invader Oasis are regrettably being forced to announce that tomorrow night’s show at Terminal 5, New York cannot go ahead as planned.

Refunds are available at the point of purchase. It’s unknown whether Oasis’ show will be rescheduled sometime this fall, although their Toronto date from earlier this week was pushed back to December 15. Members of the band are rumored to appear at tomorrow’s special series of busker performances, a band-sponsored premiere of material from next month’s Dig Out Your Soul disc.
